comint seems to ignore comint-ptyp in 0.2004.546-1 debs

Hi all,

I'm having troubles with the latest emacs-multi-tty packages
(0.2004.546-1) and slime: it seems like inferior processes executed
with comint-exec don't get a pty allocated anymore. At least the lisp
processes I try to spawn complain that they can't access
*terminal-io*. The same operation works with the emacs21 packages,
though, and it worked with the emacs-multi-tty packages I had
installed before, so I think this breakage is fairly new.

Sorry to provide such a blurry bugreport, but I've no idea how to
debug pty troubles. If I can help debug this any further, please let
me know and I will provide more information.

Thanks,

Could you see if the problems persist in the latest update to the
multi-tty branch? Also, if you can not provide a step-by-step
demonstration of the problem, could you please check whether the bug
is multi-tty-specific, or also present in Emacs CVS?

Thanks,
