Karoly,

I haven't heard from you in two month. How are things going with
you and multitty-emacs?

I'm alive and well, with a new job. There is now some conflict of
interest between my Emacs work and my paid job, so I expect I will cut
back on my contributions.

If someone with more time would like to take over the project, I would
be happy to assist him/her; if not, I'll continue fixing small bugs and
merging upstream changes from time to time, but it is unlikely I will
introduce any new features.

The biggest issue that needs to be resolved before merging into the CVS
trunk is making the multi-tty branch compile on non-UNIX ports (Windows,
Mac, DOS). I changed a lot of previously global variables into
terminal-local structures; most of the porting work will consist of
simply fixing references to these variables.

Hi,

Are there plans to sync back up to HEAD? I have a branch where
i have tried to sync up the multi-tty branch to the main-line HEAD,
resolving conflicts as best I could, and while the resulting hack
mostly works, it occasionally seg faults at startup (well,
preload-emacs keeps retrying, so I am not impacted _that_ much).

It would be nice if someone who understood the code did the
synch with mainline CVS (which would be needed anyway for the
post-release merging).

Oh, and thanks for all the work :)

Thanks for the update; it works on my variant of debian
patches just fine (I don't create a .deb; I install in /usr/local,
but I add a flavour and add the debian emacs21 list paths to the
multi-tty branch)
