Hi,

On my old system, I had been using multi-tty for about 6 months to
great success. Now I have a new machine runnin Debain Etch, and it
won't build, giving me:

Updating /usr/local/src/multi-tty/leim/leim-list.el ...
Loading vc-arch...
Wrong type argument: number-or-marker-p, nil
make[3]: *** [leim-list.el] Error 255
make[3]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/multi-tty/leim'
make[2]: *** [leim] Error 2
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/multi-tty'
make[1]: *** [bootstrap-build] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/multi-tty'
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2

I got the "head" using the baz commands from the web page. Any ideas?

thanks
Zak

I encountered the same problem (amd64/unstable) and I posted to the
debian-emacsen list, but I was warnocked ...

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.devel.emacsen/1918

I did finally manage to get it to build by uninstalling all the
existing emacsen installations I had. So I continue to use the 6 month
old build on amd64.
